The Garden Valley Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that distributes free food and personal care items to families in the Garden Valley/Lowman area. GVFP is partnered with the Idaho Food Bank and helped by local community members and organizations. GVFP is open for distribution 3:30- 5 pm on the second and fourth Friday of every month at Calvary Chapel in Garden Valley. Calvary Chapel supplies storage, coolers, and freezers. Shipment of food arrives about an hour before distribution from the Idaho Food Bank's main facility in Boise. It is picked up, delivered, and stocked by local volunteers. 

We are always in need of volunteers, and financial and or food donations.

Hours of operation:

• 3:30-5 p.m., every second and fourth Friday. 

Every day, 1 in 6 Idahoans struggle with hunger and food insecurity.  1 in 4 is under the age of 18.  On your next shopping trip, you can help end hunger by supporting the GVFB. Consider giving to the GVFB; your donations make a tangible difference every day. Donations of food are welcomed either during hours of operation or they may be left in the donation box at the Garden Valley Market.

Highly requested grocery items:

Protein:  Peanut butter, canned meats, chili, stew, entree' soups

Fruits & Vegetables:  Packaged fruits & vegetables, canned fruits & vegetables, canned tomato products, pasta sauce

Shelf Stable Milk: Non-fat dry milk, evaporated milk, dehydrated milk, instant breakfast

Grains:  Whole grain crackers, oatmeal, cereal, pasta, rice

Misc. Food:  Vegetable oil, sugar, baking soda, flour, condiments, and other staples

Misc. Items:  Toilet paper, toothpaste, deodorant
